Chalk
Chalk street art has a rich history dating back to sixteenth century Italy. It has seen a revival in recent years as artists flock to the sidewalks to create vibrant, larger-than-life, temporary works. Summer began working with chalk in 2009 after attending a workshop hosted by Dogwood Arts and has since won numerous awards in local and regional competitions. Her commissions include works for Dogwood Arts, the City of Knoxville, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
